Nicholas Phinney is an associate attorney in the Providence, RI office of Chisholm, Chisholm & Kilpatrick. Mr. Phinney joined the firm in October 2009. He received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2003 and received his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2007. In law school, Mr. Phinney served on the Moot Court Board, served as a student-attorney in the University Criminal Defense Clinic and worked as a research assistant for former Rhode Island Supreme Court Justice Robert Flanders.
Mr. Phinney primarily handles appeals and arguments before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. He also has experience handling workers compensation, unemployment and landlord-tenant matters and general litigation.
Mr. Phinney is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, the United States District Courts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
